Tatum M. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard. Casino and other hotel facilities: We never spent much time in the casino, we spent some time and money on the slots and they seemed to be reasonably loose without giving us anything to shout about.

The casino floor had a slight smell of tobacco smoke as per previous reviews but as a Non smoker who is pretty sensitive to the smell of smoke and has a pretty strong dislike of it I found it perfectly bearable and nowhere near as bad as I had expected from reviews or experienced elsewhere.

There were plenty of little souvenir type shops in the hotel which were a little tacky compared to many other hotels in Vegas, There were also a selection of places to eat including McDonalds and a Krispy Kreme.

As per previous reviews there were a fair amount of children in the hotel but not an insane amount and as we were all parents ourselves it was not something that bothered us.

We found the hotel quiet once we were in our rooms. Also we never made use of the AdventureDome so I will not comment on it.

Location: The hotel is on the Strip but at the northern end a little distance from the main area of interest. That said, as someone who dislikes walking anywhere at home we walked down to the heart of the strip and back and did not in any way find the walk too far.

Also on other occasions we drove to locations on the strip and made use of the free parking so all in all location was perfectly fine for us with or without the car.

Check Out: Check out was a breeze. We used the express checkout on the TV in the room and dropped our room key cards in the drop box in the lobby Job done.

Conclusion: All in all the hotel exceeded our expectations and for the price we paid we were all extremely happy with the hotel and would happily stay there again.

I really cannot understand anyone expecting more for the price bracket this hotel fall into. That said I appreciate there are other rooms in other towers and that not all peoples experiences are the same.

That said I would recommend the hotel to anyone based on a stay in the West Tower and for a reasonable price.

The price was great but the popcorn ceilings, yellowed smoke detectors and stale air killed it for us. The place wasn't dirty per se but dated decor, scuffed walls, peeling wallpaper, faded paint, sun rotted curtains all added up.

In the end we ended up eating what we prepaid and booked a room at New York New York. This was an Alaska Airlines vacation and quite frankly I thought they had higher standards.
